Congratulations, Rebecca and Khoa!

Two members of the ALBI team have now earned the title of Dr. rer. nat. (PhD in Natural Sciences). We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Rebecca Serra Mari (defense on January 16, 2026) and Dr. Nguyen Khoa Tran (defense on February 02, 2026). Rebecca continues her research on pan-genomics and cancer biomarkers in our research group. Khoa will take over the course “Algorithms in Bioinformatics” as academic teacher starting in the summer semester of 2026 and will also remain with the group through his research.
