Research Computer Science

Members of the Computer Science department actively participate in many research areas.  Our research topics are frequently subject of third-party funding, e.g. by DFG, EC, BMBF, BMWi, several foundations as well as enterprises.

Examples for current research topics are: the analysis of large biological data sets, methods of bioinformations for population genetics, graph algorithms, distributed and parallel infrastructures, computional social choice, data mining methods as well as innovative applications in the field of online participation .
