Der Kurs wird auf Englisch stattfinden.

  • What is in a cell: Genome, proteome, metabolome.
  • Cell growth - Mathematical modeling and numerical solution.
  • Cost-benefit analysis of protein expression.
  • Competition of energy and entropy in protein-DNA binding.
  • Information content of DNA sequences recognized by proteins.
  • Operator occupancy models of transcription regulation.
  • Logic gates and Boolean network analysis of genetic circuits.
  • Kinetic modeling of gene regulatory networks.
  • Network motifs in genetic control circuits.
  • Genetic switches and oscillators.
  • First look at metabolic networks.

Verwendbarkeit des Moduls:

  • Master-Studiengang Informatik (als Wahlpflicht- oder Schwerpunkt-Modul).
  • Im Master-Studiengang Mathematik als Modul im Anwendungsgebiet oder Vertiefungsfach.

Vorlesung

Die Vorlesung findet mittwochs von 10:30 Uhr bis 12:00 Uhr in Raum 25.02.O2.21 statt. Die Vorlesung beginnt am 09.10.2019.

Übungen

Die Übungen finden mittwochs von 14:30 Uhr bis 16:00 Uhr in Raum 25.02.O2.21 statt. Die Übungen beginnen am 09.10.2019.

Der Kurs wird zentral über das Studierendenportal verwaltet.

Teilnahmevorraussetzungen/Anmeldung

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an der Klausur ist die aktive und erfolgreiche Mitwirkung in den Übungen sowie eine erfolgreiche Präsentation zu einem vorgegebem Thema.

Außerdem ist eine erfolgreiche Teilnahme an Informatik 1 bis 4 erforderlich.
